Production & Relationship Manager

Envirocon is seeking a motivated and experienced Production & Relationship Manager to join our team in Penrose, Auckland. This role is responsible for leading daily production and dispatch operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery. The position also plays a key role in managing customer and supplier relationships — particularly within the concrete industry — to achieve reliable, cost-effective outcomes that align with company goals.
You'll oversee production coordination, labour allocation, consumables management, and budget control, while maintaining strong internal communication and delivering operational insights to management and the Board.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Production Oversight & Dispatch
- Manage daily production output and dispatch to meet customer needs.
- Oversee workflow and ensure delivery schedules and quality standards are achieved.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Labour & Workforce Management
- Plan and allocate labour resources to align with demand.
- Provide leadership, training, and support to production staff.
- Monitor performance and promote a safe, efficient, and motivated workforce.
Customer & Supplier Relationships
- Act as the key liaison for operational delivery matters with customers and partners.
- Build and maintain reliable relationships with suppliers, especially within the concrete industry.
- Manage bespoke and customised production projects to meet client expectations.
Financial & Consumables Management
- Conduct cost analysis of production and dispatch operations.
- Manage consumables budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure accurate data recording and reporting in Envirotrac and inventory systems.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare operational reports and performance insights for management and the Board.
- Collaborate across departments including Sales, Compliance, and Process Improvement to ensure seamless business operations
Minimum Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in production, operations, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of production processes; experience in the concrete or manufacturing industry preferred.
- Proven ability to manage labour resources and supplier relationships.
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience in cost analysis and budgeting.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Experience with Envirotrac or similar production/inventory systems advantageous.
- A hands-on, proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
