We steward the family violence and sexual violence system and drive realisation of the cross-agency strategy—Te Aorerekura. We work in partnership with communities across Aotearoa New Zealand, placing survivors, families, and whānau at the heart of everything we do.
Te Haeata/The Opportunity
The Centre for Family Violence and Sexual Violence Prevention is seeking a Operations Lead. As Operations Lead, you'll support the Manager, Enabling Communities in delivering the regional programme of work. You will play a key role in connecting insights from communities, iwi, and the family violence and sexual violence (FVSV) sector to shape national strategies and policies.
In this role, you will:
- Build and strengthen relationships across the Keeping People Safe work programme, ensuring our teams work is well planned, connected and sequenced with the wider organisation.
- Support the sustainability and innovation of community and Iwi led initiatives by providing trusted, evidence-based advice on our programme to senior leaders, Ministers, and cross-government forums.
- Drive alignment with Te Aorerekura - the National Strategy to Eliminate Family Violence and Sexual Violence.
- Lead a small team, fostering collaboration, excellence, and innovation.

Ō Pūkenga/Skills and Experience
You will be an experienced connector, advisor, and leader who thrives in complex, multi-agency environments. You'll bring:
- Proven experience working in complex change change programmes, including building strategic relationships across government and communities.
- Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to equity.
- Deep knowledge of place-based and collective impact approaches.
- Experience leading teams and delivering results in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work across central and local government and community sectors.
- Sound understanding of the machinery of government and public service values.
Most importantly, you bring integrity, aroha, and a genuine passion for enhancing the wellbeing of whānau, hapū, iwi, and communities.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role is likely to be between $143,719 and $164,144 based on skills and experience - The remuneration band for this role is $129,129 to $179,192 per annum.
