About the role:

This a key leadership position within the Finance team, reporting directly to the CFO. The role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of statutory, climate, and regulatory reporting, maintaining compliance with all relevant requirements, and establishing robust internal controls across the organisation.

The Financial Controller works closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Board, auditors, and supervisors, playing a critical part in safeguarding the organisation's financial integrity and supporting the achievement of strategic goals.

What you'll be doing:

  • Statutory Reporting – lead the preparation of financial accounts, reporting, manage auditor engagement and present to the Audit Committee and Board
  • Regulatory Reporting & Compliance – lead the delivery of all supervisor and compliance reporting
  • Climate Reporting – lead the annual climate reporting process end to end, including audit and legal engagement and board presentation
  • Financial Controls – manage trial balances, reconciliations, PAYE and monitoring controls

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance and qualified Chartered Accountant
  • At least 10 years' experience in financial services; funds management experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/local GAAP, tax regulations, compliance frameworks,
  • Strong understanding of technology platforms, architectures and foundational AI knowledge
  • Experience presenting to and working with senior leaders, boards, auditors and regulators
  • Experience leading statutory and regulatory reporting finance deliverables, including but not limited to working with auditors, supervisors and other internal and external stakeholders
  • A mindset geared towards embracing change, innovation, results driven and ability to lead self and others
