About the Role

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our growing team in Auckland.

This role will support strategic financial planning, budgeting, and performance analysis for our insurance and financial service operations. The Financial Analyst will provide insights that guide key business decisions, ensuring our continued growth and compliance with financial standards.

Key Responsibilities


• Assist in formulating budgetary and accounting policies that align with the company's strategic objectives.


• Prepare and analyse financial statements for presentation to senior management and regulatory authorities.


• Conduct financial investigations and audits, evaluating performance, cost efficiency, and investment returns.


• Provide taxation and financial advisory services to clients and internal stakeholders, covering business structures, capital investment, and compliance.


• Examine operating costs and income streams, identifying opportunities for revenue optimisation.


• Prepare tax returns for individuals and business clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IRD standards.


• Maintain and enhance internal control systems to safeguard financial integrity.


• Support the implementation of accounting and reporting systems (such as Xero and CRM dashboards) and assist in digital transformation.


• Conduct cash flow forecasting and financial risk appraisals for marketing initiatives and partnerships.

Skills and Experience


• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field,or 5 years' experience in financial analysis, auditing, or accounting if qualification is not met.


• Familiarity with New Zealand financial reporting standards, taxation rules, and compliance obligations.


• Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, Excel (advanced), or Power BI.


• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.


• High ethical standards and attention to detail.
