Procurement Manager – Fast-moving Global Food Business

Our client is a well-established, globally recognised organisation with a fast-moving supply chain that services a large number of food retailers across iconic brands. They are seeking a Senior Procurement Professional who will take responsibility for all indirect categories as well as expanding into other areas of the supply chain.

The Corporate Procurement Manager will lead all indirect procurement categories and have some involvement with direct categories and the logistics function. Indirect categories include marketing materials, IT, facilities service contracts, and equipment. You will develop category strategies both locally and globally and learn how the supply chain works in this very fast moving food service business.

The role involves managing the full procurement lifecycle—from category strategy development to supplier negotiations and contract management. The focus will be on achieving optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance, ensuring value is driven across the procurement process.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience & Expertise:

  • In-depth understanding of procurement

  • Industry experience FMCG or food service sectors
  • Previous team leadership experience
  • Robust understanding of the domestic and international supplier markets
  • Proven ability to negotiate supplier contracts and manage supplier performance to deliver cost-effective outcomes
  • A track record of identifying and implementing value engineering opportunities to reduce total cost while maintaining high-quality standards

  • Ability to engage with various stakeholders and demonstrate the value of procurement to the broader business
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels

  • Confidence to challenge the status quo and implement improvements
