Job Description

As the FSQA Category Manager, ANZ - Protein and Dairy, you'll be the key player in making sure our suppliers and ingredients meet, and often exceed, the high food safety and quality standards set out in HelloFresh policies. You'll be protecting our brand and ensuring our customers get the best quality ingredients every time.

This role is based in Penrose, Auckland and reports to the FSQA Category Team Lead and Senior Category Manager.

You will…

  • Become the primary contact for a specific ingredient category, managing all supplier interactions, projects, and nurturing strong, constructive relationships.
  • Oversee the end-to-end onboarding of new suppliers and Stock Keeping Units (SKUs), ensuring documentation is 'right first time' and project timelines are met.
  • Plan, perform, and follow up on supplier audits and quality visits across the ANZ region to ensure full compliance with our International Supplier Management Procedure and local protocols.
  • Act as the main escalation point for complex quality issues, coordinating effective root cause analysis and ensuring the timely close-out of Supplier Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Manage and review all SKU specifications to ensure they are current, accurate, and meet our internal 'Gold Standard' targets.
  • Work closely with the Procurement team on planned Quarterly Performance Reviews and provide expert Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) support to all internal stakeholders.
  • Be an ambassador for food safety and a role model for HelloFresh values, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and special projects across the FSQA team.

You have…

  • A university degree in a relevant discipline (essential).
  • Solid experience and a strong technical understanding of food processing systems and equipment.
  • Working knowledge of ANZ Food Regulations and global standards like GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) and best practice Quality Management Systems.
  • Proven experience in supplier auditing and quality assurance (HACCP and Auditor qualifications are a plus).
  • Intermediate to advanced G-suite and MS-suite skills, with a competence in data and analytics.
