Come and be a part of our Design team where we see vision and creativity come to life in the Countdown Supermarkets that service over 3 million customers each week. Collectively we bring a diverse range of skills across the Design and Planning space and have continued to champion innovative, sustainable and on brand designs that bring our customer proposition to life.

Imagine a role where you’ll gain great satisfaction from walking into a space that you have helped create? This is one where you will really make a tangible difference to our stores You will look after the design delivery of our Supermarkets from the ground up which will cover design outcomes for network plans such as store renewals, new stores, and multiple different deployment projects and service propositions. From arranging store plans and layouts to establishing appropriateness of all interior design and fixturing elements, you will manage this process from concept through to Developed Design phase

It’s a pretty big role, and one where you will work end-to-end ensuring we deliver the right space, in the right place, at the right time.

**About You | Mōu
To succeed in this role you will need to be a strong communicator with the ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders from all levels. You will be creative and innovative and have the ability to remain calm under pressure whilst working within strict deadlines.

If you’re the sort of individual who strives to always do the right thing for customers, team, our communities, and our business then we ought to connect.

To be successful in this position, you will come equipped with a qualification in architectural draughting or interior design and a minimum of 5 years in this space. A natural creative, you’ll have strong Google Sketchup or Autocad (or similar) experience and a solid knowledge base of building techniques, construction and design. The ability to encourage authentic conversations especially around designs will be key in this role as you work alongside diverse stakeholders to achieve a great outcome.
