We’re looking for an Assistant Development Manager to join our team here in Aotearoa reporting to one of our Development Managers.
Joining us, you’ll be responsible for supporting the retail network development functions through activities such as project and development management reporting and administration, information gathering and research in order to assist the Property Development Team execute on our nationwide property network plan. In this role, you will proactively support the Development Management team to convert opportunities into exceptional retail offers, that are delivered in a timely and cost effective manner. Your drive and enthusiasm will be essential in delivering numerous exciting Supermarket and retail developments that will compliment the community and environment and provide superior customer and staff amenity.
**About the Role | Mō te Tūranga**
You will also be responsible for:
- Assisting with the management of a defined property development portfolio
- Working with internal stakeholders (eg, design, finance, construction, legal) to ensure accurate and timely delivery of relevant projects, financial and project status reports, documents, plans and other requirements relating to development projects
- Liaise with external bodies (e.g. Council’s, consultants) with guidance and support from our Development Managers
- Support Development Managers in research and analysis of strategic acquisition opportunities, trends and retail development schemes relating to specific development projects
- Assist with lodging and obtaining consents and approvals from relevant councils and authorities and assist with delivery of properties.
**About You | Mōu**
To succeed in this role you will have a property (or related) degree and ideally some background in commercial real estate, and/or property, project management or construction. You’ll need loads of initiative and a proactive and positive approach in everything you do. This is an ideal role to further enhance and grow your real estate, development management and real estate or acquisition skills in a fast paced, market leading property environment and customer focused business. You will possess excellent problem solving skills and have a track record of building collaborative relationships.
