Mō te tūnga | About the role
As one of Oranga Tamariki's property and facilities managers you will be managing all property aspects relating to Oranga Tamariki's leased commercial buildings, secure facilities, and our growing portfolio of owned and leased homes.
This position will include all reactive and planned maintenance, property inspections, small value capital projects and negotiating lease agreements as required. An understanding of residential and commercial leasing would be advantageous for this role.
When required, you will work closely with and support the Regional Delivery Managers within your region on large scale projects and re-fits in our homes, secure and work environments as Oranga Tamariki continues to upgrade the portfolio.

**Key requirements of the role include**:
- Property management experience within a large organisation
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Passionate about making a real change to the lives of Tamariki and Children.
- Ability to communicate and present complex ideas in engaging and easy to understand terms.
- Solid understanding of financial data and support recommendations with quantitative data.
- Experienced in managing multiple contracts, supplier, and service level agreements. Experience in commercial lease negotiations would also be advantages.
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural issues and concerns, in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
- Have outstanding communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
