We are looking for 2 Duty Managers for our restaurant in Canterbury region (Rakaia). We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week with a pay rate between $29.66-32.35 per hour. To manage day-to-day duties being duty manager and serving customers as required. You are responsible for providing courteous and prompt service, consistent operating conditions, and a friendly atmosphere. You will be responsible for the following list of duties:

- Serve customers on the counter as required by the management
- Ensure all the cash is counted at the end of the shift any shortfalls are accounted for
- Assist the manager in stock take
- Make sure you take part and lead by example in all marketing activities under the guidance of the manager.
- Help in putting up marketing banners
- Open or close the shop as required.
- Provide continuous attention to guest needs; greet, assist, and thank guests in a

prompt, courteous, and friendly manner.
- Offer product suggestions when appropriate.
- Staffing training with manager
- Keep records of payroll and sending to bookkeepers every week
- Any other cleaning required in the premises as per health and safety needed
- Keep the food control book up to date
- Assist manager in making roaster and ordering food supplies
- Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and date control; restock and supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and maintain the

lowest supply cost.
- Operate department equipment and tools.
- Keep work area clean, orderly, and free from safety hazards; report faulty

equipment and hazards to management.
- Notify management of team member theft, guest shoplifting, unauthorized mark-downs, property defacement, or any action that is illegal and/or against

company policy.

- Ability to work under pressure
- Organisational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
