We need a marketing and insights practitioner with the technical background, experience and communication skills to ensure that insight thrives at the heart of the organisation.
You will join our world class team in our efforts to gain maximum value for Tourism New Zealand, our industry partners, markets, and government agencies by identifying opportunities and issues, and then collaborating to design, execute and present research which provide actionable insights for marketing decisions.
Reporting to the Global Manager Insights you will be responsible for gaining a deep understanding of our global target audiences and visitor experiences on the ground, how we cater to the New Zealand tourism industry, and measuring impact of our work.
Insights play a critical role in determining where and how we focus our organisational resource, ensuring evidence-based decision making for our market and global teams, and ensuring TNZ can provide useful insights for the broader industry. You will also be required to positively collaborate with market and global teams and incorporate their insights and expertise into your thinking and work.

- Commercial marketing and/or strategic insights background with an excellent understanding of the power of consumer research and data to inform marketing strategy and implementation.
- Experience working in a global team/role; international markets preferred.
- Be an expert at communicating at all levels in a complex global organisation and able to influence strategy and operations.
- Be comfortable unearthing and communicating insights from a range of sources including from primary consumer research, data analysis, digital analytics, consumer trends and economic data.
- Be comfortable embracing a broad scope of work that spans different skill sets.
- Flexibility and openness to operate in a rapidly changing environment.
