**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
Acting as the Department's technical leader in health, safety, and wellbeing insights, the role delivers insight products through the development of processes, systems, and relationships. Continuous improvement is a key aspect to stay at the forefront of insight approaches.
**Mōu | About you**
You're a highly skilled and organised Principal Data Analyst who can demonstrate proficiency in reporting tools and technologies, such as SQL, Excel, Word, and Power BI, with a proven track record in data visualisation. Additionally, you will have hands-on experience in database development, showcasing your ability to design and build relational database tables and write complex stored procedures for reporting and data retrieval.
The role requires excellent organisational skills, including the ability to think ahead, use initiative, establish priorities, and meet deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy and confidentiality. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, enabling you to tailor complex messages to various audiences with clarity and credibility.

- Familiarity with database security best practices and data integrity principles
- Experience producing strategic and operational business analytics products within a government agency to inform decision making
- Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish and build strong working relationships within Te Whatu Ora and across government organisations
