**Āu Mahi | What You Will Do**

You will lead the mechanical services operations across UC's diverse facilities, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable building services. This includes managing modern computerised boiler systems, HVAC, medium temperature hot water (MTHW) reticulation, and gas and water services. You'll oversee maintenance and capital projects, supervise a skilled team of tradespeople and contractors, and contribute to strategic planning and compliance with health and safety and statutory regulations.

**Mōu | Who You Are**

You are a seasoned mechanical services professional with at least:

- 10 years' experience in facilities or industrial site leadership
- Proven ability to lead and motivate small to medium-sized trade teams
- Boiler operation qualification and hands-on experience with modern computerised boiler systems
- Experience with MTHW reticulation systems
- Strong computer skills, including experience with CMMS platforms and digital reporting tools
- A history of continuous improvement and preventative maintenance
- Contract and budget management expertise
- Active commitment to UC values, tikanga, kawa, and te reo Māori

You will also hold:

- Advanced Trade Certificate(s) (NZQA Level 5)
- A diploma and degree would be advantageous.

**Mahi Ngātahi | Who You Will Work With**

You will be part of the Facilities Management team, reporting to the Group Manager Engineering and Maintenance. You'll lead a team of 12 staff and supervise contractors across UC's campuses, working collaboratively to deliver high-quality mechanical services and support UC's strategic goals.
