A rare opportunity has arisen where we are looking to employ a Trade Sales Representative (Building Supplies) at Mitre 10 Mega Ferrymead.

We need an experienced Trade Sales account manager with credibility in the building industry to join our team.

This is a Christchurch based role and you will be responsible for promoting trade business on a day to day basis.

To be successful, you will need to demonstrate the following capabilities:

- Strong knowledge of the building industry - timber knowledge
- Dynamic sales ability
- A proven track record in the building industry, with the ability to build strong working relationships with clients preferably in a similar role
- High degree of initiative
- A flexible work ethic to develop a strong trade base
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Attention to detail
- Able to problem solve
- A good sense of humor while keeping business transaction professional
