**_ Te mahi / The Role_**

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and talented graduate software engineer (some relevant work experience is preferred) to join our development services team.
- In this role you will gain considerable experience through:

- Working across a variety of platforms and technologies, both traditional and cloud based.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues.
- Working with users to understand needs and creating systems that satisfy them.
- Contributing to the development of new software products and features.

At Otago you will gain wide experience in a complex, interesting and diverse technology environment.

- To be successful in this role, ideally, you will have:

- Tertiary qualification or equivalent body of knowledge appropriate to the role.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, as this is a client-focused role.
- Exposure to a range of relevant development tools, frameworks, and environments, ideally including Linux, Python, PHP, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, TypeScript.
- A passion for software development that enables great business outcomes.
- The ability to learn quickly and bring fresh ideas to your team.
