Network Field Investigtor

This is a varied role where you will work across multiple areas providing value added services within the design/Engineering, Connections, and Construction teams and our key clients.
- Reporting to the Team Lead - VAS & Field Investigation, as the Network Field Investigator, you will be responsible for the installation and removal of data loggers on transformers in a timely manner, LV cables and pillars in the field to measure capacity and voltage recordings.
- You will also be accountable for:
- Downloading and analysing the results and providing recorded data to requesters
- Investigating low voltage fuse sizing and cable capacity and carry out Network load balancing under direction to reconfigure LV open points as required
- Communicating and providing guidance to clients and customers regarding voltage recordings, load readings and fuse sizing
- Identifying potential problems on the Network and report back to the relevant team and/or the Design and Planning Manager
- Providing Low Voltage Network solutions as appropriate
- Co-ordinating works to meet timeframes
- Uploading and testing protection settings on LV CB’s and 11kV distribution CB’s
- Installing, Uploading, testing, and commissioning automation units on 11kV switchgear
- Liaising with Network SCADA Technicians to commission protection on automation works
- Being mindful, present, safe for yourself, workmates, customers, the public, networks, and the environment; Continuously assessing situations for the safety of yourself and your team members

**About you**
You will be a highly safety-focussed champion with knowledge on HS&E be self-motivated and confident to work independently with mínimal direction. You will have a “ can-do” attitude towards achieving business and client’s goals. You will also demonstrate the following:
- Hold a current practising electrical licence with registration ( essential)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Word and Excel (essential)
- Full clean Driver Licence ( essential)
- Competency with Vector’s Systems, Siebel, SCADA and CODY ( beneficial) enthusiasm to learn new systems quickly
- Proven experience in 11KV & 22KV distribution construction, Low voltage and medium voltage switching on distribution networks
- Ability to input and test protection settings on distribution networks, test cables and equipment (VLF, step voltage, PI, CPC100)
- Process oriented, analytical, and efficient
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external customers in a multi-cultural environment
- Enjoy working in team environments, yet able to work self-directed
