**The Opportunity**

We are looking for someone to bring their financial expertise and commercial acumen to join our Finance Leadership team and play a critical role across the Gallagher Security Business. You’ll quickly need to gain a deep understanding of our global and regional business strategy for Gallaghers Security business - this will allow you to provide highly relevant insights into business performance and make exceptional decisions.

The role reports through to the CFO, however you will also be considered part of the Security Leadership team. With dual skill sets in financial management, exceptional commercial understanding and critical thinking you will act as a key financial adviser to the group executive of Security and the wider leadership team.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Support decision making through modelling, analysis, inquiry, challenge, generating options and providing advice on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions
- case development and analysis for new investment opportunities and acquisitions including benefits realisation and tracking, ensuring they are aligned with Gallagher’s overarching strategies
- Understand business and group context and key drivers in depth (i.e., market, competitors, behaviours), keeping senior leadership and other relevant stakeholders well informed.
- Build financial acumen and commercial skills across the business, including risk/reward decision making and value management
- Providing analysis and delivering insights that links financial reports to business strategies

**To be successful in this role you need**:
Accounting qualifications - CA, CPA or CIMA qualified or Master level degree. 10+ years of proven finance business lead/partner experience within a global company. Preferably technology or security.
- Proven experience in finance business partnering or commercial finance at a senior level
- Extensive experience in leading business planning and performance management processes including assessing business growth and investment opportunities
- Ability to synthesise and distil information to create insights on the activity, decisions and outcomes that really matter
- Strong analytical skills, highly numerate and proven to be details oriented
- Experience of effectively managing and developing a high-performance team (globally based)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to adapt communication style to explain financial information to non-financial staff concisely
