The opportunity
We are looking for a sharp, commercially savvy Senior Project Accountant to join their Finance team in Hamilton. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be at the heart of DairyNZ's multi-million-dollar, multi-year programmes-each spanning up to 7 years and involving 3-5 funders, subcontractors, in-kind contributions from farmers and partner organisations, and budgets ranging from $10M to $30M. You will support the financial governance of DairyNZ's strategic programmes, many of which are science-led and co-funded by government and industry partners.

- Manage financial systems and tools to support reporting and analysis
What you will bring
- Tertiary qualification in Accountancy or Finance (CA qualified)
- Excellent project accounting experience (5+ years) across public and private funding models, with high transparency requirements and milestone tracking
- Strong analytical skills and a knack for translating numbers into strategic action
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial modelling skills and advanced Excel proficiency
