**Job Description**:
Our Pact Packaging division is pioneering a whole of product life cycle approach to sustainable packaging. Partnering with global brands to local dairy producers, we integrate supply chain efficiencies and sustainable practices into everything we design and manufacture.
**About this opportunity**
As a manufacturing Finance Analyst you will be a trusted advisor to Operations, supporting the execution of best practice in cost and inventory management, controls and governance to drive an increase in shareholder value.
You will provide the critical commercial link between Manufacturing / Operations and the various Finance functions, to ensure standard costs are rational and logical enabling our business stakeholders to make well informed decisions based on accurate information - on the factory floor and with our customers.
**Your key responsibilities will be to**:
- ** Safety is first at Pact**.....so you will naturally displaying an unrelenting focus on improving our safety culture, ensuring safety is foremost in operations. Your behavioural leadership is genuine and highly visible.
- ** You understand operations in a manufacturing environment so you are use to site operations**, including customers, products, key cost drivers and technologies and can map value levers to improve operational performance whilst working closely with stakeholders to understand priorities and drive business outcomes
- ** You know product and services costing and can establish and **update product costing based on key business inputs. Participation in new product and development planning with multiple stakeholders is just one of the ways you support the business to establish efficient processes to maintain master data (e.g. BOMs, routes, item master data)
- ** P&L and Balance Sheet management **are second nature to you with regards to key items such as stocks, price movements, fixed assets transactions etc. You are comfortable performing key month end checks and analysis of unusual or unexpected items.
- Collaboration is second nature for you and will be key as you work across the Pact Business Services and Finance Business Partners to streamline accounting processes and transactions
- ** Inventory Control.........you have this down pat by now**
- ** Planning, budgeting, forecasting is a key collaboration point with stakeholders and one you enjoy, identifying cost risks and opportunities**
- ** You have a continuous improvement mindset **and look for process improvement and efficiencies keeping abreast of best practice accounting principles both internally and externally**.**
- ** Controls and compliance, **you are experienced in the execution** of** appropriate internal controls are ensure they are adhered to throughout the division and comply with Accounting standards and Corporate Governance
**Your skills and experience**
- Previous experience in a management accounting or cost accounting role in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with manufacturing standard costing practices such as cost allocation methods and cost sensitivity analysis in an SAP environment
- Understand the implications business and accounting decisions have on one another
- Demonstrated history partnering with cross functional stakeholder to identify opportunities, draw insights, develop solutions and deliver results
- Proven practical experience leveraging analytical capability to influence business stakeholders to more effectively manage costs, risks, revenues and profits
- Understands P&L, accounting systems and financial metrics
**Qualifications**:
- Tertiary qualifications essential in Finance, accounting, commerce/business
- CPA/CA qualification
