**Mō tēnei mahi | About this job**

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Kaiako to teach **Te Whāinga o te Ao Tikanga (Level 3).** This is a **fixed term (until 19 December), full-time (37.5 hours per week)** position, based at our **Waiwhero Campus in Rotorua,**with class delivery in **Te Puke**.

This role involves planning and delivering lessons, developing teaching materials, and responding to the diverse needs of tauira. You will support tauira through regular assessments, fostering an inclusive and collaborative learning environment rooted in Whanaungatanga, Ako, Aro, and Te Hiringa.

Key responsibilities include recruiting tauira, planning learning sessions, supervising activities such as Noho and Wānanga, and ensuring tauira progress towards achieving their academic goals. You will also provide individualized support to ensure tauira success, using strategies like the 101 Retention Plan, and maintain accurate records in line with TWoA and NZQA requirements.

**Mōu | About you**

We seek a Kaiako who is committed to empowering tauira, inspiring them to complete their studies and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
- NZ Certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching (Level 5) or equivalent
- Either attest equivalence for NZQA standards required to assess and moderate this programme OR hold the NZ Certificate in Assessment Practice (L4)
- Full and current NZ Driver’s Licence (Class 1)
- 3+ years’ experience working with iwi, hapu or marae projects, AND
- 3+ years’ experience teaching adults

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) will be key.
