**About the role**:
**About you**:
The Kaiako will need to have the ability to develop and dispense Māori bodies of knowledge contextualized to social work practice, knowledge of bicultural frameworks, and the ability to plan and deliver them.

Ideally, applicants will have:

- New Zealand Certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching Level 5 (NZCATT L5) or equivalent, or be willing to complete during the first year of employment
- Full and current NZ Driver Licence
- Clean Police Record

**Memberships**:
Full and current registration with the NZ Social Work Registration Board

**Experience**:

- Proven experience in a related role
- Able to demonstrate knowledge and appreciation of te reo and tikanga Māori within a bicultural framework
- Adult teaching experience
- Whilst teaching experience is highly valued at TWoA, newly qualified Kaiako with relevant qualifications but with no or limited previous teaching experience will also be considered._

**NOTE**: This position is classed as a Core Worker under the Vulnerable Children’s Act and will need to pass a safety check, inclusive of Police Vetting, under the Vulnerable Children’s Act 2014.

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
