**The Role**
As a Category Manager, you will play a key role in driving the performance and profitability of your assigned product categories. You'll be responsible for developing and executing strategic category and supplier plans, working closely with suppliers to create product ranges that meet customer demands and maximize sales across the business. Your problem-solving skills, high-level influencing ability, and collaborative approach will ensure that you not only meet targets but exceed them.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and execute strategic category plans that drive sales, profitability, and performance.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, influencing product range development to meet market needs.
- Lead and manage supplier negotiations, ensuring profitability and optimal pricing strategies.
- Analyse category performance, including working capital metrics, to identify growth opportunities and optimize product ranges.
- Work with the marketing team to create effective promotions.
- Collaborate across teams, working closely with internal experts to drive category success.
- Ensure strong product knowledge is inherent in the branch network by working with suppliers to create engaging product training opportunities

**What You Bring**:

- Passion for the electrical wholesale industry and a genuine drive to innovate and deliver results.
- Proven experience in category or product management, preferably with a strong understanding of the electrical and industrial product markets.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with a proven track record of influencing key stakeholders.
- A strategic mindset, with the ability to adapt and drive success in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- Experience in a trade distribution environment, particularly in electrical wholesaling, is advantageous but not essential.
