Category Manager

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Category Manager will be responsible for the category management function for ZURU Toys and EDGE. This will include leading the implementation of standard reporting, amalgamation of data to existing data sets and integration of category data to the day to day work of the Sales, Commercial, Marketing and NPD functions.

You will have a profound impact on our ZURU Toys and ZURU EDGE business. By spearheading the development and implementation of category management strategies, you will drive revenue and profit growth. Your ability to integrate category data sources, refine vast amounts of information, and provide actionable insights will empower stakeholders at all levels.

You will establish standard category reporting, ensuring critical data is consistently delivered to relevant teams, such as Sales, Commercial, Marketing, and NPD. Additionally, your expertise in leveraging category data for retailer pitches and range reviews will secure strategic partnerships and foster growth.

**CORE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Be the Category data champion for ZURU - developing know-how across all relevant functions.
- Collaborate across functional teams to understand needs and to ensure ongoing information outputs meet the needs of users.
- Lead the integration of category data sources into the existing data processes.
- Collaborate with China NPD category team to maximise expertise and resource and further scale the output from category function.
- Lead implementation of standard category reporting across ZURU Toys and EDGE ensuring critical data such as sales, market share, pricing and promotional activity are served up in a consistent format to all relevant stakeholders, in particular Sales, Commercial, Marketing and NPD.
- Provide insights on category performance with a focus on our biggest markets and verticals. Utilize sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and risks, and to make recommendations for category improvements and optimization. Monitor competitive activity and industry trends to identify opportunities for growth.
- Set process for how category data is leveraged into retailer pitches and range reviews.
- Manage relationships with vendors for all category data sources.

**YOU WILL BRING**:

- 5+ years of experience in category management or related field.
- Strong commercial acumen, with proven ability to develop and implement successful category strategies that drive revenue and profit growth.
- Highly analytical with ability navigate large volume of information and refine into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Basic proficiency in business intelligence software and data management.
