The opportunity - We are looking for our next Category Manager to join our high performing Baking Portfolio team, an awesome bunch of individuals who genuinely enjoy working together to deliver results in a supportive and dynamic environment. - Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Baking, you will be a key member of the Baking team driving category performance across Loaf, Occasion Bakery and more - This is a full category management role where you will manage and champion all category initiatives and strategies for the Retail Baking portfolio. - With market-leading brands, locally-led strategy, and a culture of "getting stuff done", you will have direct influence and ability to drive the growth and performance of these important categories in the New Zealand market. Are you excited about - Becoming the Category Expert for your portfolio of leading brands and products; providing category-led, commercially-relevant insights to enable decision making that drives action and strategic direction for our Retail business - Leading the Category Review process for the Baking portfolio with Retail customers by providing compelling category-centric insights and recommendations - Partnering with Brand Marketing on NPD projects, from concept to launch - Leading our cross functional monthly Category Performance Review for Baking, to review category, financial and operational performance, and key project workstreams - Leading the development of annual Category plans, working with the Head of Portfolio Baking to identify growth drivers and translate into actionable plans to support strategic Portfolio & Brand planning - Driving business growth and profitability Does this sound like you - A NATURAL COLLABORATOR & RELATIONSHIP BUILDER - You enjoy being part of and contributing to a high performing team. You aim to inform, engage, and naturally influence others at all levels of a business in a clear, concise manner that is easy to understand. - AN OPPORTUNITY HUNTER - You are naturally curious with a proactive mindset, always seeking out the What and Why behind data and able to communicate insight that uncovers opportunities to drive category & portfolio growth. - HAVE A SAVVY COMMERCIAL MINDSET - You are equally comfortable working your way around a Brand P&L as you are looking at the big picture to understand relevant market & business dynamics and their implications.
