**About the Role**:
The Service Design and Implementation Group within Te Pou Ohumahi | Education Workforce is a new Group that has brought together teams of experts from five functions including the Workforce Engagement team. The purpose of the Group is to streamline the delivery process by creating an end-to end design and implementation team that support the delivery of the wider Group objectives and work programme.

The Team Manager, Workforce Communications and Content will be an integral part of the Workforce Engagement Team and be responsible for supporting the development of overall communication and content strategies, as well as developing and coordinating the delivery of a proactive communications and content. You will have experience at bringing together complex information and presenting it in an easy to understand, engaging way that raises the profile of education professions and encourages more people to want to enter the sector.

You will be a motivated and empathetic leader who doesn’t shy away from a challenge. This role provides the opportunity to drive the current strategy and build a vision for the future. You will be highly collaborative in nature, engaging and effective in your leadership, with a drive to deliver successful outcomes from a values-based perspective.

**Key Requirements**:

- Sound political awareness and knowledge of government process, with proven ability to navigate ambiguity.
- The skills to build strategic relationships and collaboration across the organisation and externally.
- Exemplary written and oral skills to communicate concepts and present information.
- Provide key thought leadership in communications and content, and drive a shift towards proactive, two-way communications that build the perception of the education workforce.
- Experience within a complex, busy communications environment that works collectively with other areas including service design and marketing.
- Experience managing the media and reactive work programme.
- Draft and implement communications (internal and external) and content strategies for education workforce that draws on existing research.
