Senior Expert Asset Compliance

**Your role**: A key part of our Asset Operations Leadership team and reporting to the Head of Asset Operations, this position is responsible for ensuring regulatory requirements are met and regulatory risks are mitigated from activities within the Operated Assets.
- Work in collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Project, HSSE and Stakeholder experts within OMV to ensure successful regulatory outcomes across the business, including ensuring OMV is in full compliance with all legal requirements.
- Develop, deliver, and maintain systems to proactively prevent or respond to compliance violations.
- Work closely with Legal to ensure Directors and the OMV NZ Leadership Team have up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of the company’s compliance risks in line with corporate governance requirements.
- Manage responses to regulator audits and post-audit information requests.
- Within the framework of the Stakeholder Engagement Strategy and in consultation with the Senior Expert Regulatory and Stakeholder Management, ensure high quality relationships throughout the business with the government representatives who regulate OMV’s operated assets.
- Ensure regulatory developments are identified, monitored, analysed, and responded to.
- Input, write or review (as applicable) regulatory submissions to ensure high quality and consistent approach.
- Provide advice and training on compliance matters.
- Keep abreast of all compliance best practice and lead implementation of improvements.

**Your profile**:

- In-depth knowledge of industry legal compliance requirements.
- Ability and experience to strongly advocate the company’s interests with regulators, officials and industry groups.
- High ethical standards.
- Ability to interface with and influence multiple stakeholders at all levels across the organisation.
- Ability to delegate, coordinate and oversea tasks in collaboration with the Operations Services team.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to establish and integrate best practices, and to ask difficult or unwelcome questions.
