**About the role**

Are you passionate about education and facilitating impactful learning experiences? We are seeking a Practice-Based Learning Coordinator to join our team. As a Practice-Based Learning Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in creating quality educational experiences for tauira (students) within a school setting.

Reporting directly to the Kaiwhakahaere Ako - Manager Educational Delivery, you will be responsible for:

- Ensure quality practice-based learning placements in diverse school settings.
- Create impactful partnerships between Te Wānanga O Aotearoa, schools, and teachers, creating a positive space for learning.
- Maintain a robust database ensuring comprehensive records.
- Collaborate with Kaiako to plan and deliver induction sessions for teachers and provide briefings for tauira.
- Play a key role in interviews and evaluations.
- Carry out evaluative visits to ensure the quality of educational experiences.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Part of this role involved active participation in Kaiako activities and related responsibilities as needed. This includes some teaching duties, as well as a strong research component.

**About you**

You will possess previous experience as an Associate Teacher or have collaborated with them. You have an impressive network within primary schools or demonstrate the ability to effectively cultivate and expand professional connections in a primary school setting.

Your knack for understanding individuals enables you to play them where they thrive best, and your amiable personality shines through in your person-to-person interactions.

To excel in this role, you will also bring the following:

- A Level 5 Teaching Qualification, preferably in Adult Education.
- 5+ years teaching experience.
- You must be registered with the New Zealand Teachers Council and hold a current Practicing Certificate.
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

The salary range for this role is negotiable, based on qualifications, experience and technical expertise.

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
