**About the role**

The AvSec Technical Training Unit (TTU) are currently looking for a Senior Digital Learning Developer. The position may be based at either Auckland.

The Senior Digital Learning Developer is responsible for the development and implementation of learning using AvSec’s digital learning tools. This role is key in developing and maintaining learning through digital learning platforms, to ensure training is fit for purpose enabling users to have a positive learning experience. The responsibility includes supporting and maintaining the TTU’s digital initiatives to ensure they work effectively and efficiently across the Operation.

Relationships are pivotal in this role and the incumbent will be required to work collaboratively with teams across the general operation in the development of innovative digital learning solutions that are current with trends and technology. This role reports to the Principal Advisor, Programme Development & Delivery.

This role will suit someone with a proven background in digital learning. You should have proven experience in a similar role encompassing the development and delivery of digital learning/training modules/programmes. The successful applicant will have knowledge of training methodology, models and practices, including a sound understanding of adult learning principles and blended learning practices. Furthermore, you will have excellent communication and influencing skills, able to convey complex information effectively to achieve business needs and objectives.

**Skills & experience**
- Strong knowledge in the area of technical expertise, including digital publishing and editing, content creation.
- Strong communication skills
- Experienced storyboard writer, able to tell stories in a meaningful way
- Extensive knowledge of information management and technology disciplines, including latest development in information management and technology practices.
- Extremely organised and structured, yet flexible to cater to frequently changing requirements, deliverables and deadlines.
- Excellent understanding of digital learning principles and requirements and their relation to user experience.
- Excellent research skills working with our internal teams to help investigate and validate technical solutions for creative learning concepts.
- Technical understanding of digital learning platforms and solutions with a knowledge of how to deliver in a digital environment.
- Experience in HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS and/or Adobe Creative Suite will be an advantage
- Holds a relevant tertiary qualification (or working towards) in an information management (i.e. information systems, information technology or knowledge management) or related discipline with subsequent relevant experience.
