About the Team
The Just Transitions Partnerships Team supports the government’s priorities for a Just Transition to a low emissions economy - ensuring the impacts and opportunities associated with the transition are evenly distributed. The Just Transitions Partnerships team is part of the Economic Development and Transitions branch (EDT). EDT focusses on how the government supports sectors, regions and workers through transitions, and on ensuring we have the right investment settings to bring the right kind of savers and investors together to transform the economy to make it more productive, sustainable, and inclusive.
**What we do**:
Our work is focused on supporting people, places and sectors in regions to plan and manage their transitions. Previously we have worked with the Taranaki region on the development of the T2050 Roadmap, driving community engagement in this process. More recently we have worked to support a Just Transition for Southland to ensure a more resilient economic future.
