**Mō te tūnga | About the role**

The Payroll Team make sure we’re paid for our mahi (work). On top of paying people, this team is also responsible for lots of other business critical tasks like keeping records up to date so you’re paid the right amount at the right time, keeping our systems and processes aligned to the multitude of employment agreements in place and making sure taxes are correct. For those employees unfortunate enough to be claiming ACC, this team also makes sure the they get paid correctly and in line with their claim.

This Payroll Officer: ACC Specialist role is responsible for:

- Calculating work and non-work-related ACC payments
- Being the main point of contact for the DHB’s Wellbeing, Health & Safety team as well as external partners WellNZ and ACC
- Keying data and facilitating the provision of accurate and prompt information
- Investigating and resolving ACC calculations and queries
- Supporting managers to facilitate ACC payment matters for their team members
- Managing sensitive employee queries in a confident and empathetic manner
- Working collaboratively with other teams to ensure process are consistent

Your skills will include:

- Knowledge and understanding of ACC payment processing and legislation
- Hands on payroll processing experience
- Accurate numeracy and keyboard skills
- Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Organisational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines
- A customer service approach to your work and contribute positively to the team
- Experience in health or a large complex organisation would be beneficial
