**Ngā Aramahi me te Hoahoa Haumi**: Careers & Investment Design Directorate
The Careers & Investment Design Directorate (CIDD) is responsible for developing strategies, initiatives and policies that enable the organisation to effectively and efficiently meet its goals in the areas of careers and investment.
All teams in the directorate are focused on work that develops, leads or contributes to the design of these strategies, initiatives and policies. They are responsible for developing the interventions and plans off those strategies, and then marketing and communicating the integrated view of what TEC wants to achieve. The basis of our work is the horizontal work model and so the CIDD teams work in partnership with teams from other directorates so the design and commissioning of new products and initiatives is a collaborative process that ensures successful implementation and delivery.

**He angitūtanga**: About the Role
Reporting to Manager - Strategic Investment, this role is responsible for contributing to pieces of work and/or projects to create shorter-term plans which lead the organisation in its strategic direction.
This is an ideal opportunity for a pragmatic Advisor who would like to grow their skills contribute to government strategies and initiatives to represent tertiary education.
- Support and contribute (working alongside senior team members or independently) to deliver the team workplan.
- Contribute to work with the Ōritetanga - Learner Success Team to develop plans that will make a significant difference for Māori and Pasifika.
- Works to ensure TEC has the operational strategies and plans it needs to deliver on its investment function

- Experience contributing to significant pieces of work and/or projects
- Understanding of the machinery of government
- Uses evidence and analysis to drive decisions and advice
- Anticipates potential problems
- Well-developed written (quality writing) and oral communication skills, including presentation skills

The salary range for this position starts from $79,256 up to $93,243 depending on demonstrable skills and experience
