If you're a critical thinker with great communication skills, who is passionate about Auckland's future, and wants to be part of gaining co-investment to deliver our transport outcomes, join our Funding Team and help shape Auckland. **Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity** You will work alongside project teams to provide investment advice and assurance aligned with Waka Kotahi's business case and investment processes, and to secure co-investment for future projects designed to improve, develop, and extend the transport network of Auckland. This includes - Building strong relationships with Waka Kotahi and internal project teams to develop and assess business cases for co-investment - Being a trusted advisor, providing assurance that investments are aligned with Waka Kotahi's business case and decision-making processes - Undertaking critical review of business case documentation **Key Responsibilities**: - Develop a strong understanding of Waka Kotahi's investment decision-making and benefits framework processes - Provide quality advice and assurance to project teams in the development of their projects, including attending key meetings / workshops - Identify areas for continuous improvement to enhance the Business Case process or Funding Team's influence within the business **Ko koe tēnei | About you** To be successful in this role, you will bring - Subject matter expertise in investment and business case processes - Knowledge of local authority planning for transportation and investment decision making processes - Strong analytical and critical review skills - Minimum of 7 years' experience, preferably in a relevant transport or public sector role - Understanding of statutory and policy framework for the planning and funding of transport in New Zealand i.e. LTMA, RMA, LGA - Understanding of Waka Kotahi and Auckland Council funding processes and procedures.
