**Our Opportunity**

We are currently seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician who will be able to make a strong contribution to this high performing team and culture within Meadow Fresh Christchurch. You will be responsible for performing a range of tests and analysis on products produced, taking responsibility for communicating and addressing the needs of both the Lab and our customers. You will also ensure that testing follows the required procedures stipulated within the Laboratory quality systems and procedures.

**T**he shift pattern for this role will be**:
Working a rotating shift cycle of 3 days on 2 days off, total of 10 hours per day

**Key accountabilities of the role include**:

- Formal report writing with clear and concise written communication along with the ability to communicate with a range of staff at various levels.
- Perform routine product analysis and assist in the daily operation of the Laboratory.
- Communicate with production staff with regards to sampling and test results.
- Notify Production Managers of critical process or product non
- compliances as soon as possible.
- Assist with additional testing and trace back work where required.
- Ensure that chemicals and equipment are handled and used correctly
- Minimum 3 years Laboratory Experience required (Manufacturing Dairy Lab Chemistry Experience preferred)
- Expertise in Milkoscan FT Analyser Instrument such as calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting (preferred)
- Laboratory Equipment Calibration Experience - (preferred)
- Laboratory Quality Experience such as KTP, signing IANZ reports, internal audits, method validations and looking after laboratory manuals (preferred)
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of GMP and HACCP desirable.
