**About the role**

As a Safety & Wellbeing Specialistin the UNI Ambient Safety team you’ll play a key role in supporting improvement initiatives across our safety systems and processes across the Upper North Island Ambient function.

Your core responsibilities include:

- Support the development of the Foodstuffs North Island Safety and Wellbeing strategy and implement in the Landing Drive DC (LDDC)
- You’ll work 6pm-230am to cover the afternoon and nights
- Support the Health & Safety Advisor to deliver on safety & wellbeing initiatives.
- Support the management of internal and external audits (e.g. ACC, Worksafe, Hazardous Substances etc)
- Coach, mentor, support and upskill DC team members, Line Managers and Stakeholders in the management of hazards, incidents and corrective actions within our health and safety management system
- Manage and respond to safety queries from the Safety and Wellbeing Advisor
- Support the delivery of safety related training within the DC’s, for both compliance and culture, from internal and external providers
- Fostering a positive safety culture, encouraging team members to become actively engaged in safety and wellbeing activities

**About you**

Keys to your success in the role will also include;
- You will have an awesome understanding of Distribution Centre operations
- Relationship building and strategic decision-making skills
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and complete data inputs or updates accurately
- Be a trusted contributor to the UNI Ambient entire leadership group across all functions and influence decision-making for the best business outcomes
- A champion in all aspects of health and safety
- Strong systems and process knowledge
