Employment type: Full time (guaranteed 40 hours / per week, Monday to Sunday on rostering hours), Permanent

Our pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour depending on skills

We are a well-established popular restaurant based in Christchurch.

To enhance our team, we are now looking for 2 cooks to join our team. We are expecting someone who has a passion for food, attention to details, ability to multi task and be a proactive member of the team.
- 2 years of relevant work experience at commercial kitchen, or
- a relevant level 2 or 3 qualification in cookery or equivalent certificates.

**You are required to**:

- Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Checking ingredients to make sure the quality and freshness
- Preparing and Cooking various dishes, fillings, sources in various equipment, utensils and grillers
- Measure and combine ingredients and raw materials using hands/hand tools and other equipment for traditional pastry foods
- Seasoning, portioning, adding sauces to the food during/after cooking
- Preparing food to meet client’s taste and dietary needs
- Arrange food on plates or wrap it to be taken away
- Storing and reserving food
- Assisting in planning menus, estimating food and labour costs
- Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
- Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of machines before each run, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assisting with training and coordinating with junior cooks or kitchen hands, as requested by Chef
