Days of Work: Monday to Saturday

Hours of work: Min 30 to max 45 hours per week

Locations: You will be assisting the company in 3 different locations within Christchurch - Kebab on Terrace and Big Fat Souvlaki in the City Centre AND Big Fat Souvlaki - Linwood Suburb.

We are looking for Cook to join our team at Christchurch. You will be working direct with our highly skilled staff and will report to them and the other management team as well.

**You will be assisting other team members by**:

- Inspecting ingredients to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Controlling the temperature of ovens, grills, and other cooking appliances.
- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes.
- Seasoning food appropriately during the cooking process.
- Portioning and plating meals with sauces, gravies, and garnishes.
- Storing food in temperature-controlled environments to maintain freshness.
- Preparing meals to accommodate special dietary needs.
- Potentially planning menus and estimating ingredient requirements.
- May oversee and train kitchen staff and apprentices
- Any other relevant tasks assigned to you from time to time.

**You will need the following skills**:

- Able to work under pressure.
- Able to work on weekends, public holidays and late night shifts.
- Physically fit.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Relevant work experience of 2-3 years OR relevant qualification
- Well organized and passionate about the job.
- Must have clean criminal history.
- Must pass pre-employment checks if required.
