**Āu Mahi | What You Will Do**

The Faculty Digital Services Manager leads proactive technology solutions and support for teaching, research, and faculty operations. You will partner closely with faculty and school leadership to deliver impactful digital services.

Acting as a key liaison between academic departments, school technicians, administration staff, and central Digital teams, the Faculty Digital Services Manager simplifies complexity, champions the academic voice, and drives continuous improvement in service delivery and user experience. You will do this by:

- People Leadership & Culture - Lead and motivate teams through coaching and collaboration
- Service Management Deliver - efficient, technology-enabled support aligned with UC's strategic goals.
- Relationship Management - Build trusted partnerships with academic leaders, Digital teams, and external vendors.
- Demand Management - Analyse and prioritise service needs to guide strategic and operational planning.
- Communication & Change Management - Communicate changes clearly at the faculty level and maintain regular service updates.

**Mōu | Who You Are**

You have at least 10 years in a senior IT leadership role, managing IT support, cloud solutions, or digital services as well a minimum of 7 years' experience in provision of compute services, server engineering, desktop virtualisation within a University or learning institution.

You will hold a Bachelor's Degree (NZQA Level 7) in Computer Science or equivalent field and IT Professional certification in cloud technologies, server and desktop technologies and be able to demonstrate:

- Proven ability to lead technical staff, ensuring service excellence preferably in a university or research environment.
- Expertise in teaching technologies (LMS, digital assessment tools, AI-driven learning, virtual labs).
- Strong understanding and experience in cloud computing, networks and digital infrastructure.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly in academic and research settings.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into faculty-friendly language.
- Familiarity with automation tools and self-service IT solutions.
