**Āu Mahi | What You Will Do**
As a Student Advisor in the Faculty of Science, you will:

- Work within the Academic Service team, which supports the academic function of the faculty, to provide academic advice to current and prospective Postgraduate students, and at times undergraduate students.
- Be part of a small team of student advisors who work collaboratively with periods of independent work, utilising a range of tools in your interactions with students and staff.
- Contribute to the administration of Masters thesis milestones for all relevant programmes
- Work with the Academic Services Manager, Associate Dean Acadmice and school admin teams to design and implement faculty wide processes for robust and efficient enrolment and milestone processing and recording.
- Work collaboratively with the Māori, Pasifika, Student Care, Adult and Student Accessibility teams as well as members of the faculty to support students enrolled in Faculty of Science qualifications.

We are seeking a committed Student Advisor who has:

- A strong customer service ethic and proven administration skills.
- Previous experience in a complex, large organisation, or tertiary environment.
- Experience in a student or customer focused role.
- Strong attention to detail and great written communication, even while working to tight deadlines.
- A can-do attitude and the ability work effectively to problem solve.
- The ability to clearly understand and interpret regulations, policies, and procedures.

This role sits within the General Staff Collective Agreement Band 4 (2024) salary range of between $72,266 and $94,614, and salary will be based on skills and experience.
