**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**
As an Assistant Product Owner you will work across Auckland Transport (AT) and with external stakeholders and customers to support the delivery of the Customer Experience strategy and communicate the aspiration of becoming a customer-centric organisation.
As an Assistant Product Owner, you will support and assist Product Owners to define product epics and features and in the grooming and delivery of product backlogs. The role will initially be focused on supporting our Payments Product Owner working in our ticketing programme to deliver a great customer experience for Aucklanders as we roll out 'open loop' payments and the Motu Move national ticketing solution.

As the successful Assistant Product Owner you will be a natural influencer with the ability to assist in moving others towards a shared goal or vision. You will bring a customer-centric approach to the delivery of your work, with the ability to see the bigger picture while working on tightly framed deliverables. You will also have:
- Ideally, a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Project Management or another relevant field
- Experience providing support to ensure an agile squad runs effectively, working with cross functional teams on projects and initiatives
- Experience in working with multiple stakeholders in a complex environment
- Experience working in a customer experience / innovation or product development environment
- Ability to help support a customer centred culture with cross functional teams through relentless customer focus
- Ability to support a squad using agile tools and methodologies
- Ability to help stakeholders provide a unified customer experience
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Creative problem solver with timely ability to pre-empt problems
- Professional, pragmatic and customer focused
- A qualification in Agile methodology would be seen advantageous but not essential.
