The Digital Public Service Branch works across the public service to connect, influence, and support the system to take advantage of new digital opportunities. It also supports the Government Chief Digital Officer (GCDO) to drive the government's digital transformation and position government to succeed in a changing and evolving digital age.

**About the role**:
The All of Government Services Delivery Group (AoG SD) sits within the Digital Public Service branch and is responsible for a broad portfolio of all of government ICT services and digital products.

The group work closely with the supply market to deliver modern digital and ICT services across government, as well as delivering all of government information services.

We are seeking a Product Owner to support one of our key digital products that facilitates public service transformation by providing a digital procurement service to government agencies and commercial suppliers.

**Product Owner**

The Product Owner role supports the delivery of and direction of digital products within the AoG SD product portfolio to ensure the products are highly valued by customers.

As a Product Owner, you will define and prioritise the product backlog, work closely with business team and development team to clarify requirements, and ensure that the delivered software meets the expectations and needs of the stakeholders. You will be the conduit between the product business team and software development team to deliver the on-going product supports for bug fixes/issues as well as software enhancement and new product features. You will work with your Product Manager to ensure continuous improvement and product development is aligned with the product roadmap. You will contribute to establishing and maintaining good DevOps product management practice, including product backlog management and change/release management process.

**About you**:
You will have prior experience in a Product Owner role or be looking to take the step into digital product ownership, bringing the following:

- 2 years of proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar roles in a digital product development and technology operations environment (DevOps team or projects)
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies with hand on experience with software development processes and digital asset management lifecycles
- Analytical and documentation skills
- The ability to work successfully with cross-functional teams to deliver user centred digital product enhancements that improve people's experience of government
- Well-developed communication and relationship management skills with demonstrated collaborative style that supports a joined-up approach to delivering cross functional outcomes.
