**The**opportunity**:
- A newly created opportunity for a strategic and quality-focused Head of Testing & Environment Management to join our Technology leadership team at QBE NZPAC.
- This role will report directly to the GM of Delivery & Technology in New Zealand, with a dotted line to the GM of Australia, offering strong cross-regional exposure and influence.
- L e ad the evolution of our testing and environment management practices — ensuring our systems, APIs, and enterprise platforms are delivered with performance, confidence, and quality.
- From automation and AI to smarter vendor partnerships, you’ll help us raise the bar and embed a culture of continuous improvement across our delivery landscape.
**Your new role**:
Develop and lead the testing strategy aligned with QBE’s transformation goals and delivery model. Key aspects of your role will be to:
- Oversee testing across systems, APIs, and enterprise platforms.
- Drive innovation in testing practices, leveraging automation, AI/ML, and data insights.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team across multiple value streams and delivery teams.
- Manage testing environments and coordinate with global delivery partners.
- Establish and maintain enterprise testing frameworks, standards, and best practices, aligned with our global technology group.
- Define and track quality metrics and KPIs to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to ensure testing adds tangible business value.
- Continuously improve tools and processes to support agility, scalability, and speed to market.

**About you**:
You are a strategic and people-first leader with deep experience in testing, quality assurance, or platform development. You have:
- A p roven track record in leading enterprise-scale testing functions and managing complex delivery pipelines.
- Strong understanding of modern testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and environment management.
- Comfortable with managing vendor relationships and working across global delivery models.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence and align across business and technology teams.
- Passionate about continuous improvement, innovation, and building high-performing, inclusive teams.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, change-driven environments where quality and speed go hand in hand.
