The Role;
As a Department Manager you will plan, lead, communicate, organise, and control the day-to-day running of your department and Duty Manage the store on rostered shifts to achieve the highest possible standards. With a focus on driving operational excellence and promoting a collaborative team culture, you’ll own the accountability of your department and work with the rest of the team to make sure our store is always ready for our customers
- Create, drive and deliver customer experiences worth driving past the competition for
- Assist in leading a team of 20+ and provide them an awesome place to work
- Deliver strong growth by listening to your customers and understanding the competition
- Learn to build the stores long-term strategy for your department and identify that impact that has on the store and then execute it on a day to day basis
- Operating in the tight-knit community of Waiheke - you’ll connect with community everyday to drive customer loyalty and satisfaction

What are we looking for;
- An ability to listen, advise and come up with commercially savvy, customer driven, solutions
- Leadership capability you can demonstrate, with 20+ people in the team it’s not always easy
- The ability to self-motivate and manage alongside the ability to balance multiple priorities
- Understand the commercial side a retail business and ultimately, how to trade the box

Our goal is to set you up for a great future within Foodstuffs North Island (Four Square, New World & Pak n Save), and provide all you’ll need to know to manage a store (or own one).
