**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The remit for this role is to ensure NZME’s broadcast systems are kept fully operational on a 24 by 7 basis, with a particular focus on Wellington and the surrounding regions. In doing this you will be involved in monitoring the day-to-day technical performance of the broadcast environments to ensure their integrity, efficiency and to minimise downtime.

You’ll provide well-considered solutions in a prompt and efficient manner, always being aware of the immediate impact due to the critical nature of the business.

As a lateral thinker, your ability to research and recommend the most cost-effective and innovative solutions for the company will be as valued as your time management skills and ability to work independently to get results. You’re naturally adaptable, taking change in your stride as you prioritise multiple responsibilities.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Building and maintaining Radio broadcast studios.
- Management of specialised software for audio and news presentation systems and online streaming.
- Installation maintenance and repair of AM and FM transmission systems.
- Setup and monitoring of outside broadcasts.
- Responding to service desk tickets.
- Documenting processes and procedures.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Experienced in managing hardware in a niche industry.
- Demonstrated hands on ability.
- A tertiary degree in Electronics or I.T is a bonus.
- Strong oral and verbal communications skills.
- Full Class 1 Drivers License.
- Willingness to travel nationwide, sometimes at short notice.
