The Parks Buildings Maintenance Specialist role is responsible for delivering a high quality experience for citizens and visitors to our parks and reserves by implementing best practice facilities management solutions to present and maintain Parks buildings, structures, public monuments, art works, sculpture and memorials.

**The role**
- Responsible for ensuring that buildings situated within parks are available for the public to enjoy in a fit for purpose manner.
- Management of third party contracts delivering services associated to daily servicing, building maintenance, renovations and new builds.
- Managing quality assurance programmes associated to the above services
- You will work with contractors and in-house staff to ensure works are covered to a high customer service satisfaction level.

This is a busy role so you will be someone who is calm under pressure, organised, thrive on developing excellent stakeholder relationships and ensuring effective communication between a varieties of stakeholders.

**Requirements**:

- A tertiary level qualification in an appropriate field e.g. Structural Engineering, Building Science and or equivalent industry experience as a qualified builder with NZ Diploma in Construction

- Hours of work_ - Full time
- Salary_ - $70,422 to $90,293 per annum
- Location_ - This position is primarily based in the city center

Whilst staff working at the Christchurch City Council are not currently required to be vaccinated, applicants need to be aware that should the COVID-19 environment change, roles across the organisation will be assessed, and the requirement to be vaccinated may be reviewed.
