**What is the role?**

Work in some our cities most beautiful locations, the city network has been established along the Ōtākaro / Avon River in the central city to make it easier to access to where you want to go. There's also the fully restored Victoria Square, and Margaret Mahy playground, all of which include elements that better reflect shared Māori and European heritage and the Treaty relationship.

As a PGMO in the Central City Team you will have a busy schedule with a varied workload. You will be exposed to a varied plant life that will participate to your continuous learning and development. We're a small, supportive team where everyone gets stuck in and works together.

**Duties and Responsibilities.**
- Looking after garden areas, reserves, and all associated furnishings/hard surface
- Heritage gardens and memorial gardens
- You may assist other Parks Services and Operations team members as required.

**About you.**
- You'll have a full driver's licence (required)
- A minimum of level 4 National Certificate in Horticulture or equivalent, or extensive experience in similar role
- A Grow Safe qualification and/or a traffic management ticket/qualification would be highly desirable.
- A talented and enthusiastic specialist who will ensure the maintenance of our gardens.
