The Christchurch City Council Parks team is growing in a new and exciting direction. We want you to be part of our dedicated team. Our goal is to lift and enhance the quality of these beautiful areas - You'll combine your mowing, spraying and horticultural experience that will deliver a high-quality finish to Hagley Park in the Inner-City Parks.

Working in the heart of the City you will be exposed to a wide range of people, cultures and beliefs that are represented within Christchurch. An openminded, respectful outlook will be key.

**About the role | Ko te mahi nei**

As a PGMO you will spend time maintaining our large greenspaces, your general duties will involve mowing, line trimming and gardening. This role is diverse and at times you will be asked to work at different locations throughout the city.

We need a talented and enthusiastic person to ensure the maintenance of these areas continues effortlessly. We know you love being outside and enjoy an environment where no two days are the same. Although you'll work to a busy schedule, the workload varies from job to job and is highly rewarding and satisfying.

As a Parks and Gardens Maintenance Officer your duties will include:

- Tractor/mower operation
- General gardening
- Line Trimmer operation
- General maintenance

**About you | Ko Koe Tēnei**
- A passion for maintaining amenity areas
- You'll have a full driver's licence (required)
- A Grow Safe qualification and/or a traffic management ticket/qualification would be highly desirable
