Reporting to the Commercial Human Resource Business Partner, this role forms an integral part of the Commercial HR and wider Sime Darby Motor Group HR Team, providing significant HR experience and career growth opportunities.

**The opportunity**

Based in Christchurch, this position will be responsible for providing sound HR advice and solutions that contribute to the success and smooth operation of the various business units within the Commercial Group. Specifically, the role will provide support, coaching and advice to our managers on diverse areas such as recruitment, remuneration, employment relations, performance management, training and development. The role will also be involved with HR planning, projects, reporting and administration.

**To be successful**
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or a related field is an absolute must
- An excellent understanding of NZ employment legislation
- Experience with online recruitment systems
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Polished verbal and written communication skills, possess a passion for helping people achieve their potential, and an ability to manage their workload autonomously.
- Some travel will be required to our various locations across NZ and may involve staying overnight.
