The opportunity- Autonomous, administration role supporting Underwriters in our Property, Motor and Liability team.- Supportive team-leader, who’ll invest in your growth and development.
Your new role
Reporting to our Team Leader Administration, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and excellent service delivery. As an Assistant Underwriter your responsibilities will include:
- Providing administration support to the Underwriters and the team on insurance policies from new business, Mid Term Adjustments (MTAs), and renewals through to their cancellation or lapse.- Supporting activities such as managing credit control, production of Certificates of Insurance & processing policies and schedules.- Developing good working relationships and ensuring timely communication with all internal customers and stakeholders.- Happy to chat flexible working.

About you
You’ll thrive in a collaborative team environment, taking ownership of your work and making a meaningful impact through your strong administration and customer service skills. You’ll also bring:
- Proven experience in an administration role with a sharp eye for detail.- The ability to work well under pressure and use your initiative to make sound decisions.- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.- Confidence using Excel and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.- A natural ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Whilst insurance experience is preferred, we welcome applicants from outside the insurance sector who bring transferable skills and a proactive attitude.
