At CountdownX we are accelerating our ambition to create highly personalised, seamless and connected experiences for our customers. We’re looking for a Lead UX Designer in our Experience Research & Design team here in Aotearoa.

The Chapter is responsible for creating beautifully crafted, engaging and highly functional/usable experiences across multiple channels and platforms, that enhance our customers’ shopping experiences and the way our brand shows up digitally.

As Lead UX Designer - Loyalty, you will be responsible for the digital experience design of our new loyalty proposition for Countdown. The key focus for the role is experience strategy and development, with the specific inclusion of partner experiences. As well as supporting the Loyalty Proposition team on visioning and long-term strategy, this role will be ultimately responsible for Countdown and partner experience strategy. You will also foster strong relationships across Countdown and partners to deliver initiatives across our digital touchpoints and help to develop our digital strategy for the future. Relationship management and strong collaboration will be key to success in this role, as the sphere of influence includes senior Loyalty stakeholders in NZ and across the Woolworths Group, Product Managers and squads within Countdown X, external third party partners and vendors **.

**About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
- Leading UX research, strategy & service design
- Supporting with onboarding new partners and designing partner experiences
- Designing end-to-end and cross-site journeys and experiences
- Partner with Loyalty team on proposition development, visioning and strategy, including Boosting
- Product and feature development within Countdown and EDR ecosystems. Support PMs/stakeholders in making clear decisions to promote well-defined releases
- Supporting customer lifecycle strategy

**About You | Mōu**

To succeed in this role you will have proven technical UX Design capabilities and an ability to foster strong relationships and have a real impact in the team, bringing your strong communication and collaborative abilities. You will see the big picture and partner across multi functions.
- A proclivity for strategy in its many forms including business, digital, product and customer experience
- A customer-first mindset, a thirst for data, and an unapologetic drive to bring the customer into every conversation and area of the business
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and persuade for the best customer and business outcomes
- A strong command of UX & service design methods including journey mapping, service blueprints, wireframing, user flows, etc
- Strong research skills across a variety of design thinking methods including qualitative/quantitative, lean/extensive, field/lab, proposition/design testing and the ability to distil findings into key insights
- Experience designing, planning and executing workshops and collaborative sessions, combined with great storytelling skills to drive understanding and change
- Experience with working within and evolving brand and design systems to develop new digital products and experiences
- Capability in core design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe CS, InVision, Axure, Zeplin etc) an asset
