**What will you be doing?**

We're on the hunt for a **Senior Software Engineer **within our** Clinical Portal **team. You will join a cross-functional, agile development team who are working on helping to build out our **Clinical Portal **product suite and put it into the hands of international customers. Our products are in use globally and service millions of patients and Healthcare providers. From New Zealand to the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe and the Middle East, we are expanding.

**Clinical Portal** is a secure web-based solution that provides a unified interface to access and view a longitudinal patient health record, with data combined from integrated source systems.

As a **Senior Software Engineer**, you will:

- Be engaged with all aspects of development right from design, to delivery and support.
- Be fully involved with helping to steer best practices and approaches adopted by the team, as well as mentoring junior engineers.
- Have the ability to think creatively and be confident in making suggestions.
- Develop solid and well-structured software that will play a key role in the successful delivery of the solution.
- Get the opportunity to directly influence the experience clinicians and health practitioners have when using the product, impacting real world delivery of care to patients across the globe.
- Be part of a team who engages with clients, hears their user stories, business needs and goals, and ensures that what we build is what best meets their needs now and into the future.

**What will you bring to the role?**
- **Experience**:With a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Software Engineer, you will have a solid understanding of software architecture and software design with demonstrated ability to analyse, design, troubleshoot, and modify complex software products. Ideally you will have previous experience mentoring junior and intermediate developers.
- **Skills**: Java experience and working with databases such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server will be an asset. Front end web development experience with technologies such as React, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Experience working with cloud-based technology, particularly AWS, will be a huge advantage Knowing how to work with Spark and experience with automated testing frameworks such as Junit or Arquillian would be a bonus, but is not necessary. CloudFormation or Terraform, Docker, Ansible, automation, ECS, Lambda are a plus.
- **Characteristics**:As an individual, you are inquisitive, detailed oriented and have a problem-solving mindset. While you are a great team player and communicator, and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment, you are also proactive and confident in working independently.
